The Bible tells a story of a creation cursed with thorns and thistles, and a humanity in open rebellion. The question the Bible poses is this: how does a good God rescue a people who do not want to be rescued? How does a good King reign in love and peace, when others vie for His throne? Ultimately, it is the story of a God who will not give up on you, but takes the curse upon himself to be crowned not with gold or silver, but with thorns.
